Kristen, Veterinary Assistant

 

Kristen jointed the Chester Basin Animal Hospital team as a Veterinary Assistant in the winter of 2021.  While growing up, Kristen always knew she wanted to work with animals in some capacity.  She recently changed career paths, coming from a background of human healthcare and customer service, to make her dream a reality.  Kristen is currently working toward her certification as a Registered Veterinary Technician.

As a Veterinary Assistant, Kristen fills many roles, from assisting doctors and technicians throughout the hospital, to supporting our customer service team at the reception desk.

​

Kristen hails from the local area and currently lives in Martins River with her husband, son and daughter.  Her furrier family includes her Siberian Huskies, Mischa and Kira, cats Smudge and Molly, and budgies Tiki and Floof.

When not working, Kristen enjoys reading historical non-fiction, singing and listening to music, and tenting with her family in the summer.
